Welcome to Sakura // Cherry Blossoms in High Park - a new blog and website that is designed to celebrate the beauty and cultural traditions of one of nature's beautiful gifts.

After living in High Park for over a decade and able to enjoy the Sakura year after year, I was disappointed at the scarcity of knowledge and visual representation found throughout the web and decided this was the year to build a website dedicated to this beautiful annual event with hopes to inspire, educate and entertain others.

I will be tracking the progress of the blossoms daily allowing you to know precisely when the Sakura first begin to bloom and also when to best plan your visit to High Park. You saw last year, the blossoms bloomed early, and this year they are even showing signs of much earlier blooming (likely due to the abnormally warm winter weather) than ever before!
