Sakura Watch, April 3, 2012 - Buds are getting bigger!

Sakura Watch, April 3, 2012 - Mixed weather today between sun, overcast and some fairly strong winds, but the buds are beginning to show signs of bright pink and even hints of white on some trees. Especially the group of trees near the soccer fields & baseball diamonds are seemingly ready to begin to bloom - even possibly in the next few days!

The main grouping of cherry trees along the path down towards Grenadier Pond seems to be a bit more behind though. The buds are becoming big with bright pink and green colours, but so far not much signs of white just yet.

However, I still have a good feeling that if the sunny and above freezing weather holds up for the rest of the week that we will see blossoms, at least beginning to bloom, over the Easter holiday weekend.

What do you think?
